Abonmarche Offers State-of-the-Art Survey Tool |
Abonmarche can now offer its clients new, state-of-the-art survey data with the latest in Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems.
 UtilityScan™ is the most accurate GPR system available for the non-destructive location of underground utilities. With this system, Abonmarche surveyors can detect depth and location of objects such as water mains, underground storage tanks, terra cotta pipes, tree roots and voids. They can also immediately locate and mark buried services such as gas, electric and sewer lines. Strong antennas allow our surveyors to identify reinforcing steel and conduit within concrete structures prior to cutting or coring and can determine the condition of aging bridge decks and parking structures. In addition, the system works through fresh water, snow and ice, allowing for accurate data return in all weather conditions. Saturday, September 5th was an exciting day for residents and visitors in St. Joseph, Michigan as jets of water gushed to life at the new Whirlpool Compass Fountain on
Silver
Beach .
Abonmarche designed the fountain with assistance from Fountain Technologies of Chicago and Chip Reay of St. Louis. The floor of the compass is composed of 5 different colors of concrete and 20 interior fountain jets that operate with 5 computerized light shows. Eight water cannons located on the perimeter are timed to spray 35 feet into the air at 30 minute intervals.
The fountain is just one component of the Silver Beach Development designed by Abonmarche. Next year will see the opening of the
Shadowland
Convention Center, Curious Kids’ Museum Discovery Zone, and Silver Beach Carousel house.
